Image aspect ratio changes on witch to...

I have a few RAW files (from a Nikon D70) that look OK in the Library module, but are stretched horizontally and clipped vertically when I switch to the Develop module. It's only happening with a limited subset of all my D70 RAW files.

The same files open fine in PSHop CS3Beta or CS2.

(I'm running LR under OSX 10.4.9 with 2 Gb RAM.)

At a guess ae these vertical files with auto rotate on from the camera?

I'd have to double-check, but I think you're right. I probably had enabled auto-rotate at that time. Any hints on how to fix the problem?

Thanx

I saw this with both Canon and Nikon files in the LR betas. I never did figure out why it happened or any way to fix it properly, although I think I could delete the XMP file generated by Bridge and re-import. You lose any changes made in Bridge, of course.

I though they fixed this.

I tried your suggestion, Tom. I not only had to delete the XMP files, but had to regen a new XMP file for each affected image before the strange changes to aspect ratios were fixed.

I was seeing things like this with the Betas, but not recently.

useually ended up with an XMP fix.
