ACR 3.7 available now

Just checked Adobe's download site and got ACR 3.7. Looking forward to trying out the drag and drop of RAW files edited in Lightroom.
ACR 3.7 available now
Thanks for letting us know.
ACR 3.7 available now
I notice that the ACR 3.7 download does not seem to include the DNG converter even thought the download page seems to indicate that this is included in the zip file.

Is there a new converter?

I found the link to download both the new ACR 3.7 and converter. John Nack's blog had the correct details. (http://blogs.adobe.com/jnack/)

thanks

looks like 3.7 is NOT necessary for LR 1.0, at least according to the ACR download page which says that 1.0 has it already ''built-in.''

tony

ACR 3.7 is for PS CS2, not for LR.

I may be wrong but I remember that LR's RAW conversion engine was

referred to as ACR v4 by Adobe staff.

Lr 1.0 %26amp; ACR 4 have similar engines, and I assume that the ACR 4.x in the final CS3 release will be a very close match to Lr 1.0.

ACR 3.7 has a different purpose - to provide a degree of compatibility of settings between Lr 1.0 and ACR 3.7 working with CS2. However, ACR 3.7 is limited compared with both Lr 1.0 and ACR 4.x.

Lr 1.0 doesn't actually have the tangible ACR download in it - it incorporates the engine in a different way.

I should have been clearer in my original post about why I wanted ACR 3.7 to use with Photoshop CS2 (not with LR itself). If you shoot raw and make adjustments in LR, and then open the same raw file in PS using ACR 3.6, none of the LR changes will appear. You would have to do exposure, WB, etc., over again in ACR in PS. The alternative is to have LR save it as a psd file and send it to PS. ACR 3.7, and PSCS3 (beta), which uses ACR 4.0, will recognize LR adjustments stored in the XMP file.
