Lightroom systray icon steals image...

Hi

SInce I installed lightroom my Avast antivirus suddenly has 2 icons in the systray/taskbar. Fact is one of them is actually Lightroom and not Avast. Odd. Rebooted 3 times and still the same. Of course it creates confusion as to which is which.

So does anyone have a clue as to how one can make the ligthroom icon look like it is supposed to?

Thanks

Mich

I doubt this has anything do do with whether or not you have Arrr envoked (LR Easter Egg).

Hi

sorry do not understand what you mean ('have Arrr envoked (LR Easter Egg')?

If you don't know the Easter Egg, then it don't apply. Do forum search on Arr or pirates for more.

Maybe Don has been busy on the rum, or suffered from too many strokes of the lash - he's seen the word ''Avast'', and made a link to the program's pirate ship easter egg.

On the assumption Avast is antivirus software for PC, have you tried asking in Avast's forum? I don't think it is a well known program, and you might get a better response there.

Hi,

TO dawn, my aplogies for not understanding it was a joke--and my ignorance for not knowing the ship.

As to Avast, yes I did mean the anti virus program. It was mentioned that it isn't well known. According to many critics (PC Magazine, cNet etc.)it is currently the best free anti vurus around (AVG being second) many critics consider it as good as paid ones such as Norton, PC Cillin and McAfee).

As to contacting Avast re: the problem. I guess I could try but since no other software did it before and only Lightroom has I figured, as logic would dictate, that It is responsible for 'stealing/borrowing' the icon and not Avast for 'lending' it.

Or possibly Adobe or Windows, who knows?
