Lightroom could not update the format...

i just bought lightroom and i am unable to install it. I use a Mac. I have removed the beta copy and the .plist file and it will not install. this is the error message that I get.



LIGHTROOM COULD NOT UPDATE THE FORMAT OF ITS LIBRARY FILE AND MUST QUIT.



can someone please help!
Lightroom could not update the format...
Try starting LR with Option-Click and New Library. If you were exporting your data to XMP's with the beta you should be able to import fresh with most of your info.

If you want a fresh start (read: rebuild you entire database), go to your Pictures folder and delete (or rename) the Lightroom folder (containing the database from the beta version) there. Then start LR again.

thank you SO MUCH. THIS WORKED!!! WHEN I DELETED THE LIGHTROOM FOLDER FROM MY PICTURES FOLDERS. Wow, thanks so very very much.
