Creating a podcast from Lightroom

I was looking at the Magnum Photographers podcasts recently, and have been inspired to create some of my own.

I was really hoping (and almost expecting) to be able to do this directly from Lightroom - create a slideshow and export it as a podcast, or a similar feature in the Web area, but alas, it is not to be.

I'm guessing I'm going to have to go to another product to do this, but really thought this would be a good feature inside LR.

The only export that appears to be possible from within the Slideshow module is to PDF. Gives me a thought - wonder if there is a PDF to m4v converter out there somewhere......

Is anyone else creating podcasts of their images, and how are you doing it? How does Lightroom fit into the workflow?

Export to QuickTime and or MPG formats have been requested. Currently how others do it is you do the Slideshow in LR and record it with something like Snapz Pro X adding your voice over/sound and there you have a podcast or web tutorial.

Among otherthings LR does not have sound capabilities. Maybe with future release, after all the big fixes are done.

Maybe search through
Martin Fuchs's blog as he was involved in setting up the new Magnum site. Email him and he might tell you what they are using.

At the Guardian, they
apparently use
SlideShowPro.

I'll certainly look forward to that enhanced export functionality of slideshow when it happens. In the meantime, I'll check out those links - thanks.
