Wen ever I do a file operation, create new folder, find missing files etc, the computer attempts to install Outlook 2003 (which I do not use)I have to click cancel on the installer dialog, soon thereafter it often locks up on me.
I also seem to be unable to move images by selecting them and dropping them on a folder
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

To drag %26amp; drop images to another LR folder, you must click on the center of the image, not on the border.

%26lt;br /%26gt;Buy a Mac. :). O.K. some lame attempt at humour here. But, Tim, when you say it, or the computer, do you mean it appears like LR is inititating the install?

Thanks that helps

When I right click on a folder and chose ''Create Folder'' The windows installer dialog pops up and starts to attempt to install Outlook 2003. I hit cancel and the ''Browse for Folder'' dialog box appears and I can create the new folder. Very weird
BTW Outlook 2002 is currently installed on my machine but I do NOT use it as my email client. I use Mozilla Thunderbird.
Thanks for responding
Tim
I'd be inclined to let the dang thing get installed; it sounds like the OS is ''in need'' of it. But I'm no Windows expert.

Something seriously wrong is happening on your computer, and I'd be surprised if Lightroom is to blame. But let's assume that's the case. What version of Windows? What happens when you use Explorer to create a new subfolder in the same folder? Is that folder on an internal or external drive? Is MS Office correctly installed?
John

It is no longer happening. Since I do not use Outlook anymore I un-installed it using ''Add and Remove Programs.'' After that it no longer happens.
Just for information, I do not have MS Office installed, I use Open Office instead. (I originally installed Outlook to work with a PDA I no longer have) and I am using Windows XP with SP2. No problem happened if I created a new folder or sub-folder using Windows Explorer.
Anyway, thanks for the help. I figured it wasn't LRs fault, I assumed it was a problem with how Windows played with LR not the other way around :)
Thanks again
Tim
