Expose to the right

Hi all,

For more info about ''Expose to the right'' see

http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/expose-right.shtml

I tried to correct my ''to the right'' exposed photos with Lightroom and got some good result, but I'm not sure LR is the best tool to do this...

IMO, LR algorithm are too ''sophisticated'' for this !

What's your opinion about this ?

What tool would you use? And what does ''too sophisticated'' mean? My opinion is that Lightroom (ACR) is a very good tool for this.

I don't know... that's why I'm asking !

When you darken your image by changing exposure, LR change only the inner part of the histogram (to protect datas in shadow and high lights) : that's what I mean by too sophisticated.

You can reduce overall levels by using the brightness slider. You can also use the tone curve.
