Did anyone experience the same issue? Any ideas on how to fix it?
Thanks,
HP B9180 and Lightroom on Mac
Have you download and installed ICC profiles specific to the papers you plan to use with his Printer? Have you then gone to Other under Print Job/Color Management/Profile in the right panel of Print and then selected the Paper Profiles to use in LR? Once you have done that then you ought to be able to print by other than Managed by Printer These are done before doing the settings in the HP priner Dialogue.

HP B9180 and Lightroom on Mac
HP paper profiles are installed automatically with the printer driver. Yes, I was able to see and select the right paper profile in LR. Still, the printer driver dialog does not allow me to select the Application Managed Colors option.
Can anyone confirm that this works fine on his Mac?
I just setup a trial version of LR on my PC and the driver works fine there. The issues seem to be Mac related.
Thank you,
I got a set of paper profiles with my Epson on default install, too. But they are the generic. It has been recommended you download the individual ICC profiles to install. Are they what HP provides on install?

HP provides fairly good set of default profiles, which include HP Advanced Photo Papers, Hahnemuhle Fine Art and others. Many online reviewers of B9180 printer describe the profiles to be of very good quality.
Unfortunately, I cannot figure out a way of using the profiles directly from Lightroom. Could be a Lightroom bug or something is wrong with my setup.
Thanks,
I use LR with the B9180 on a Mac, and it works. I have been having a hard time getting color that I like, but I think it may be my error, and I hope to solve it soon.
It sounds like you haven't set up your profiles in LR yet. In the print module, first go to ''Page Setup'' and select your B9180. Then, in the ''color management'' section, click the ''profile'' pulldown menu and select ''Other''. You should see a bunch of profiles specifically for your B9180 and lots of different papers. Check the ones you are interested in using. Now, when you click on the profile pulldown, you should see all of the profiles you want. You should also raise the resolution to 600dpi or more, and select the correct paper in the printer driver.
Alternatively, you can select ''managed by printer'' under profiles.

Yes, I have. Exactly as you describe. Except the resolution cannot be set to more than 480 dpi.

That's good to know. It means that something is wrong with my configuration. I will try to reinstall the software.
Thanks for the info.
Did you figure out the issue Wieniek? I have exactly the same problem...and appreciate a response....
