I am a LR user. I also use pe 5 for additional editing.
How should I deal with acr 4?
Should I install it using the instructions for PE5?
Is there anything additional that I should do with LR?
Should I ignore the whole thing?
thanks for help and clarification.

clarification on acr4.0
You should probably install it, if you use ACR.
clarification on acr4.0
I don't really use it. I used to use it with PE% when I developed raw in Elements. Now I develop them in LR.
But I suppose it won't hurt to install. Andy
If you don't use it, you don't need it. But it probably won't hurt to install it.
Installing ACR 4.0 won't do any harm (assuming it's compatible with PSE5) but it has no relevance when it comes to Lightroom.
Check the download page Ross, there are instructions there that ought to make it clear if you need it or not.
Not using PE at all and having CS2 I don't need it.
I just loaded acr4 and checked it out on PE5.
It is interesting that the acr 4 for CS2 is pretty much the same as the develop functions in LR.
But in Elements, a lot of those functions are missing. I'm glad I have LR and can take advantage of all the great sliders and adjustments.

In Elements you get basically a lite version of ACR. You never had access to
all of the controls that you would have had in the full version of
Photoshop.
