Corrupt Database! any change of...

Lightroom crashed on me and on re-opening it, I was prompted with a message saying that my database is corrupt and is no longer usable... the only options availble was to confirm OK... at which point LR closes. The database then gets moved into a corrupt folder!!!

What options do I have... Is that anything I can do to un-corrupt/get the database working? my last back up was 3 days ago and I've lost so much work!!!

Thanks,

Stewart

If its any help, I use LR for OS X

There is another thread where an Adobe Tech has been doing this and extended his offer. maybe someone else can do a pointer to it.

In the meantime, have you checked to see the viability of the LR-produced backup of the db? Just double click on it and see what happens. (With LR closed, of course)

I also received the corrupt database message and after my tears dryed up, I used my defrag program to defrag my database and it fixed it.

Windows XP system 18,000 raw files.

I just received the corrupt database message on a MAC. Any fixes found similar to the Windows defrag?
