Lightroom web galleries not loading...

Just tried creating a web gallery with Lightroom. I really like the look of the flash galleries. Everything worked fine until I tried to load the gallery from my hosting server. Nothing comes up in my browser -- just white space. The index file loads fine from my local drive, but not from my server. Anyone else had that problem? I also tried an HTML gallery -- same problem. Hoping there is a simple solution.

That's a tough one. It works fine for me. Can you give us a link?

I would send you a link, but nothing comes up at the link. Nothing in View Source either. All I'm doing is creating a folder on my server and putting the gallery files there, as I've done before with iView galleries. But for some reason, the Lightroom index file will not load. Very frustrating.

I'm having the exact same problem. White space. I've tried various different methods of uploading, even using lightroom itself, nothing but white space.

Info in this post may help: Look for the Micah Bowers post.

Great post, thanks. NOT buynig this program. As if Bridge wasn't a big enough disapointment. Have been using ACDSee for photo file management for years and plan to stay with it. Do I really have to buy a Mac to get some ilife-type software where a novice can create some interesting web content?

No, there's plenty of dumbed-down software for Windows too.

John

That's just it. This is suppose to be the dumbed-down post your own flash gallery software, isn't it?

I've gotten a few galleries to post, but it's not consistent. Some work, some don't. I've changed names to have no spaces, lower case... things of that nature.

Any web stars out there?

Same problem. Some times they work, some times they don't. Other gallery s/w I have used work fine but it is a pain to have to export out of LR for this purpose.

What I don't understand is why they work fine on my PC, but not my web site. I thought it might be a Flash problem, but the HTML versions have problems as well.

Looking forward to someone who has a clue as to what is going on.

Mel
