I love LR...but

:)

Thanks John! :)
I love LR...but
Ok, upfront sorry for this, it is just a bit of complaining. I know it is a dead horse, so to speak....But I just wanted to say that I am experiencing the speed issues that others have spoken so often about. My system is no slouch and it is dedicated to image editing, and is freshly built with a fresh install of XP.

But, I hate to say, the slider lag in the develop module is starting to get to me. The slow import process after a days shoot ( I am creating previews...but ) Slow scrolling through Library, waiting forever for the ''Loading...'' status to go away so that I can work, Slower -than should be- export...And other little things here and there.

These speed issues are not enough to scare me away from using LR...I LOVE LR. I used photo shop v5 on a pentium 133 with about 16 meg of ram and a couple hundred meg hard drive (it was a laptop to boot running win 98!) So I know how painful things could be.

I just can't wait 'till the speed is improved a little bit. I have actually been contemplating selling my brand new processor for a faster one and setting up a Raptor RAID 0 array just to speed up LR....But I won't. I am trying to be patient.

I write this here because my girlfriend does not want to hear me speak about LR-- Again :)
I love LR...but
Paul- Give your present box to your girl friend, and.... well, do a bit more reading on how to avoid some of the delays.
