When I export I use the template that keeps the original filename and adds a sequence number. The resulting files have the current date. I couldn't find a way to retain the original file date. I know it's in the metadata but I'd like to keep the original date anyway. Thanks.

You'd have to mess with your OS to get the image files to show a date other than on which they were created. Or you could use a different template and have the Exported files include the date you wanted by typing it in.
