I shot with a Canon 5D and a WFT-E1.
It works great and I love the freedom to move around the studio and still be tethered. But I have a problem with LightRoom and Auto Import.
Depending on conditions, it might take 5 to 60 seconds to download a single image. It seems that Lighroom tries to import an images before it is finished downloading and subsequently gets an error. The only way to recover from this error is to restart Lightroom.
When I use Capture One in this way I do not have this problem, so it is technically possible for lightroom not to crash when it reads a partially downloaded file.
When the image file errors, it is moved to the 'unable to import' folder. It gets moved in tacked so it must observe the FTP servers lock on the file before it moves it.
Can anyone think of a way to get around this problem, and do you think it will be addressed. I might be the only one useing Lightroom with the WFT?
