Importing Images into an Existing...

Sorry if this makes me appear clueless, but I've imported several sets of photos into LR with no issue. I am just beginning to organize my Library sets and start using LR as a workflow solution, but how do I import a photo into an existing library? It seems as if I have to create a new Library every time I import images.

What am I missing? I am a long time PS user and already love LR for the Printing ease, and I'll spend time with LR to master it hopefully soon, but I thought I'd see what kind of response I can get here for this one problem.

thanks!

What in LR is giving you he imression you would have to start a new Library to import more images? Just click on Imort in Library and Navigate to the images you want to reference and import them.

Importing Images into an Existing...
Sorry, I meant ''Folder''... I've created headshot folders for several individuals, and I'd like to add other photos we have to the existing folders I created when I originally imported the base set of headshots.

Hope this clears up what I am trying to do.

Just reimport the folder. LR will ignore existing images and get the new ones.

You shuld be able to select the folder to import to. Put them in the same folder on the HD and import from there. Check ignore possible duplicates so LR only imports the new.

If you are importing by copy from a memory card you should still be able to choose the same folder, if not let LR do new. After import Dag an ddrop images to folder you want the in within LR and delete empty unused folder.
