Import Photos - Metadata sets

This is killing me.... I'm trying to figure out how to edit a Metadata preset that I created.

When the ''Import Photos'' dialog box opens, in the lower section for ''Information to Apply'' there is a ''Metadata:'' section. Under that section the options are ''None'', a set called ''AJ'' that I created, and ''New...''.

How do I edit the set called ''AJ''?

Thanks!

It seems that LR can only create Metadata presets -there's no option within LR to edit them afterward or even to see what's been defined there. Well, doing manually is the way...

If you're on WinXP, then use Explorer and go to:

Documents and Settings%26gt;YourName

ApplicationData%26gt;Adobe%26gt;Lightroom%26gt;MetadataPresets

-here you'll find your presets (with lrtemplate suffix). You can open them with Notepad and edit... or simply delete them.

Ok, thanks.

I think it's going to be simpler to delete the metadata preset and start again.

AJ,

What I do is APPLY the metadata preset that I want to edit to an image (possibly one that I expect to delete anyhow), and then select Preset and ''Save as New Preset''. I give the new preset a name similar to the name of the original (Like ''AJ2'' instead of ''AJ''), make any changes I want and save it.

Later I can go back in Finder (or Explorer on a MS system) and delete the old one.

Its not elegant, but it is easy. At least until Adobe gives us a better way to edit these guys.

Where are the files in Vista, I have searched my HardDrive many times and can not find the files to edit or delete?
