Crop & Export

After cropping to a set size like 5x7 is there a way to export from Lightroom and actually have the image be a 5x7. The concern for example is that even though Lightroom is exporting the image from the 5x7 crop it is doing so at a larger dimension even though proportionate. this creates file sizes larger than I need. When I export a 5x7 I want my final image that I open in PhotoShop to be 5x7 not 7.787 X 10.9. PhotoShops Raw program will export to the actual crop size why does Lightroom not support this feature?

sk - what John says works well, it is just thinking different as LR works in pixel dimensions not ruler measurements
